02 December 2015, Lagos – The Western zone of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has reiterated its commitment to support the federal government’s efforts at easing the current fuel scarcity affecting the country.
The association said that in achieving this, they are ready to load fuel from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) fuel depots instead of private depots and distribute to their various filling stations to sell to the people without any stress.
The Western zonal chairman of IPMAN, Alhaji Debo Ahmed disclosed this at a news conference in Ilorin on Tuesday said that, the members of the association would not be part of those that would be hoarding fuel for the people of the country because the association is committed to the socio well being of the populace.
According to him, “The current fuel scarcity is a real nagging problem but the fuel is available according to NNPC and marketers are ready to lift this product to all the filling stations to sell to the people”.
