28 September 2012, Sweetcrude/African Press Organization (APO), MOGADISHU, Somalia — A journalist, who was abducted, was beheaded in Mogadishu after his decapitated body was found in Suqa Holaha neighbourhood of Huriwa district.
Abdirahman Mohamed Ali, an online journalist working for ciyaarahamaanta.com (sport news website), was abducted from the house of his mother on Wednesday night and his beheaded body was found next day (Thursday) morning, according to his colleagues. Ali was visiting his mother on Wednesday night.
The National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) has strongly condemned this brutal beheading of Abdirahman Mohamed Ali as an act of utmost cruelty and barbarism.
