Kaduna — The management of Kaduna Electric says its “attention has been drawn to a story trending on some social media platforms that the company has promised to supply power to Kebbi State 24/7 uninterruptedly”.

According to the report, the statement was purportedly made by the Area Manager, Kebbi North Area office of the Company, Mal. Abdulwahab Sulaiman during a hearing at Kebbi State NERC forum earlier today (Wednesday, 15th February, 2020).
The company said it is its wish to supply electricity 24/7 to all its customers across its franchise States.
But, it stated that “in the present circumstances where the total national generation is below 5,000mw and the daily allocation of the Company rove around 300mw, it is practically impossible to promise to provide uninterrupted power 24/7 any where in this country”.
The statement continued: “As such, the statement attributed to the Area Manager, Kebbi North is factually incorrect. He never made such claim. We call on all concern to disregard the online publication.
