09 November 2013, Nairobi – KILIFI is the first beneficiary of Kenya’s Royal Philips ‘Community Light Centres’ which will be commissioned at Manarani primary school by Governor Amason Kingi.
The project, to be set up at Mnarani Primary School, is funded by lighting giant Royal Philips, the Dutch Football Association in partnership with the Mnarani community, and Moving the Goalposts, a local NGO.
It seeks to create opportunities for social, sporting and economic activities in rural communities by creating access to electricity.
