Port Harcourt — The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering local innovation and industrial growth with the commissioning of the Blue Seal Chemical Production Plant Limited in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.
Representing the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, at the event, Engr. Abayomi Bamidele, Director, Project Certification and Authorization Division, emphasized the Board’s dedication to supporting projects that drive local content development and economic transformation.
The state-of-the-art facility, which specializes in high-quality chemical production, is expected to boost Nigeria’s oil, gas, and allied industries.
“This plant is a significant step toward strengthening Nigeria’s industrial sector. It aligns perfectly with NCDMB’s mission to enhance local capacity, reduce import dependency, and create jobs through sustainable manufacturing,” Bamidele stated.
“We remain dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote local content and industrialization. This plant represents a major step toward achieving self-sufficiency in chemical production,” he added.
During a tour of the facility, Dr. Doyle Edeni, Chief Founder of Blue Seal Chemical, highlighted the company’s investment in cutting-edge technology, stringent safety measures, and large-scale production capacity.
“Our goal is to deliver world-class chemical solutions while fostering local innovation and workforce development. This plant will play a crucial role in supporting various industries across Nigeria,” Edeni said.
The NCDMB delegation commended Blue Seal Chemical for its commitment to quality and innovation, noting that projects like this reinforce Nigeria’s position as a leader in sustainable industrial development.
With the commissioning of Blue Seal Chemical Production Plant, Nigeria moves closer to a more robust, locally-driven industrial sector, positioning the country as a key player in Africa’s manufacturing and energy landscape.
