Port Harcourt — The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, has pledged its readiness to partner with the Defence Headquarters, to invest in research and development that would improve the military’s capacity and aid national security.
This commitment was made when the Director-General, Defence Research and Development Bureau, Air Vice Marshal Jumo Osahor led a delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Simbi Wabote.
Osahor who enumerated the research interests of the Defence Headquarters and expertise, which would form the basis of a strong partnership between the two agencies, said the collaboration will further help deliver value to Nigerians and help in the development of the economy.
He appealed to NCDMB support the Bureau’s commitment to Research and Development as a strategy for improving the military’s capacity to curtail the nation’s security challenges.
Responding, Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Simbi Wabote commended the Defence Headquarters for their effort towards ensuring a secured nation.
Wabote also pledged the Board’s readiness to support the research and development course of the Defence Headquarters’ Research and Development Bureau.
According to him, “Be assured that we are ready to collaborate with you, the Board is the right agency with regards to Research & Development which would help enhance security in the country,” Wabote said.
