29 December 2014, Yenagoa — New Flag Officer Commanding, Central Naval Command, Rear Admiral Stanley Ogoigbe, has reiterated the command’s resolve to reduce all criminality bordering on oil theft in its areas of operation to zero level.
Ogoigbe made this declaration at the, Central Naval Command headquarters, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, when he took over the mantle of leadership from Rear Admiral Peter Agba, who has been redeployed to the Naval Headquarters in Abuja as Chief of Logistics.
He enjoined men of the command to work with him with a view to wiping out oil theft in line with the mandate given by the Chief of Naval Staff.
“I wish to implore officers and men of the command to work in harmony with me in order to achieve success and the set goals of the Nigerian Navy and that of the Chief of Naval Staff.
“The Chief of Naval Staff’s priority is to ensure that all criminalities are stopped and to ensure that oil theft is minimised to zero level. I am here to continue the work Agba has been doing and to consolidate on his achievements”, Ogoigbe said.
He sought the cooperation of officers and men of the command, which covers five states, to actualise the mandate of the Navy in the Central Naval Command.
