24 May 2017, Sweetcrude, Abuja – The Federal government is in need of $1.28 billion to support the operations of the Development Bank of Nigeria.
The fund is part of the money the Presidency is requesting approval from the National Assembly to begin to process.
The government is also requesting approval from the National Assembly for €9m planned to go into Agricultural Finance.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo sent a letter making the request under the 2016-2018 External Borrowing (Rolling) Plans of the Federal Government to the House of Representatives.
The Vice President’s letter was read by House speaker, Aminu Dogara to the House members.
