10 September 2016, Enugu — The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC, has said that it has not discarded pre-paid metres for smart pole metres in the district.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Head, Communications of the EEDC, Mr Emeka Ezeh and made available to Vanguard.
Ezeh was reacting to media reports that the company had discarded prepaid metres for smart pole metres, adding that “rather, we are aggregating, procuring and installing smart metres with additional self -service features that allow customers recharge/vend POS and online platform from the comfort of their homes.”
