03 November 2013, Dutse – The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Jigawa said on Friday it arrested four suspects for allegedly stealing 90 litres of diesel.
Mr Muhammad Gidado, the NSCDC Commandant in the state, told the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, that the suspects were arrested in Kwaimawa village of Dutse Local Government Area.
He explained that some officers of the NSCDC arrested a driver of a truck with registration number XS 421 FST supplying diesel to the MTN mast.
Gidado said that the three other suspects were arrested for attempting to buy 90 litres of diesel from the truck driver, using a Vectra car with number plate AE 252 GWJ.
The commandant said that the suspects, who allegedly confessed to committing the offence, would soon be charged to court.
The command, on Oct. 26, arrested two suspects on the Dutse-Huguma road in a Golf car loaded with 30 Jerry cans containing 25 litres of diesel each.
