15 October 2014, Warri – An oil marketing firm, A & E Petrol, has said that it decided to move its “Kero-Direct” programme for Delta riverine communities to Pessu Market Waterside in Warri, Warri South Local Local Government Area, to enable people from Ogbe-Ijoh area, Aladja and other neighbouring villages access kerosene at a cheaper rate.
The company yesterday promised to liaise with the Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Diezani Allison-Maduekwe, and Delta State Government to incorporate the sale of subsidised petrol in the programme across the riverine communities of the state
Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Chief Ayirimi Emami, gave the explanation, at the Pessu Market Waterside in Warri, while supervising the sale of over 500,000 litres of kerosene to thousands of traders and other business owners in the area.
While thanking the federal and state governments for choosing A & E Petrol to assist the less privileged through the sale of subsidised kerosene at N50 per litre, Chief Emami promised continuity of the kero-direct programme and possibly include the sale of subsidised petrol so long as his company got supply consistently.
