07 October 2017, Sweetcrude, Lagos — The Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, will launch the 2017 World Oil Outlook on November 7 at 14:30 Central European Time, CET.
According to a statement by the group, the launch will be held at its secretariat in Vienna, Austria’s capital.
The statement said OPEC’s Secretary General, Mohammed Bakindo, and senior members of management will present the key messages from the publication, which provides an in-depth review and analysis of the global oil industry, and offers a thorough assessment of various sensitive cases related to the economy as well as supply and demand trends in the medium and long-term.
OPEC also disclosed that as is the practice for the third in a row, a comprehensive interactive version of the WOO will also be made available when the publication is launched.
First published in 2007, the WOO provides expert analysis of the many challenges and opportunities facing the global oil industry.
It serves as an important reference tool, providing insights into the upstream and downstream, as well as issues related to costs, investments and the potential impact of policies and new technologies.
Alongside the Annual Statistics Bulletin, it is one of OPEC’s flagship annual publications.
