The remarks come after Silveira said late last year that he hoped Brazil would join the OPEC+ group after a full technical analysis, although the country would not take part in the group’s coordinated output caps.
“We at OPEC greatly value our growing cooperation with Brazil,” said Al Ghais, who will present OPEC’s annual World Oil Outlook at the event on Tuesday.
