15 April 2014, News Wires – Indonesia’s state-run Pertamina has seen a 4% increase in production during the first three months of the year.
The Jakarta Globe cited Pertamina’s upstream director, Muhamad Husen, as saying oil output reached 196,000 barrels per day in the first three months of the year, up from 189,000 bpd a year earlier.
The newspaper also reported that gas output was slightly up, with company producing 1.57 billion cubic feet per day, up from 1.52 Bcfd during the first three months of 2013.
The increase in production came despite Husen noting disruptions at several of Pertamina’s main fields.
“Bad weather affected production in PHE West Madura Offshore, Pertamina-Petrochina East Java and Pertamina EP Cepu,” he was quoted as saying.
Pertamina has set a production target of 280,200 bpd of oil, including 59,500 bpd from its recently acquired blocks, and 1.57 Bcfd of natural gas this year, according to the Jakarta Globe.
