Port Harcourt — The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria, PETROAN, has secured a strategic deal with Dangote Refinery, ensuring a seamless supply of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS during the yuletide season and beyond.

PETROAN’s National President, Dr. Billy Gillis-Harry, secured the deal when he led a successful negotiation team to Dangote Refinery in Lagos, where they finalized a deal that will avert any fuel shortages during the festive period.

Harry expressed confidence that with the Port Harcourt Refinery now in operation and strengthened partnerships with key players like Dangote Refinery, there will be no disruptions in fuel supply.

“This partnership with Dangote Refinery and the commencement of operations at the Port Harcourt Refinery are key to ensuring that there is no scarcity of fuel during this festive season.

“We are confident that these agreements will ensure a smooth and steady supply of fuel across Nigeria, making the holiday season stress-free for millions of Nigerians,” Dr. Hary added.

“The efforts we’ve put in place will not only guarantee availability but will also ensure the affordability of petroleum products during and after the festive period.

“We urge Nigerians to remain calm and avoid panic buying. There will be no shortage of fuel. Our operators are fully prepared to meet demand across the country,” PETROAN said.

In a related development, PETROAN’s National President, Dr. Billy Gillis-Harry, and his team also visited the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Mr. Mele Kolo Kyari, to discuss collaboration on the efficient distribution of petroleum products during and after the yuletide.

PETROAN presented the NNPCL boss with an honorary life council membership and recognized him for his leadership in revitalizing the Port Harcourt Refinery.

The association also urged Nigerians to refrain from panic buying, emphasizing that fuel availability will remain steady throughout the holiday season.

“Our meeting with the GCEO of NNPCL was highly productive, and we are optimistic that our continued partnership will ensure the seamless distribution of petroleum products across the country.

“The efforts of NNPCL, particularly in the revival of the Port Harcourt Refinery, have been instrumental in making this year’s festive season one without supply disruptions.

“We are committed to working hand-in-hand with PETROAN to maintain the steady supply of products, and we will ensure that the festive period passes without any challenges.”
