    Port Harcourt — The Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, in partnership with Joemarine Institute of Nautical Studies and Research, has officially flagged off the bootcamp and refresher course for maritime beneficiaries of the program.

    The initiative, according to the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Chief Dennis Otuaro, is set to equip maritime delegates with essential skills to meet industry needs and create career opportunities.

    Following the flag-off of the Maritime Delegates Bootcamp, Otuaro said the training was imperative contributing to skill development and empowerment in the Niger Delta region.

    The Presidential Amnesty Program’s boss also toured the permanent site of the Joemarine Institute of Nautical Studies, in Otomewo, Okpe Local Government Area, Delta State.

    The tour, led by the Managing Director of Joemarine, Engr. Kenneth Akpos Epidei, showcased the institute’s facilities and resources dedicated to maritime training.

    During the tour, Engr. Epidei showcased the state-of-the-art facilities and resources available at the institute, emphasizing the commitment to providing high-quality training for maritime delegates.

    Chief Otuaro expressed appreciation for the institute’s efforts in skill development and empowerment in the Niger Delta region.

    He expressed support for the institute’s efforts in promoting skill development and enhancing career opportunities for youth in the Niger Delta region.
