09 September 2014, News Wires – Production has resumed at the UK’s North Sea Buzzard oilfield after a ten day maintenance shut-down, reports said.
The Nexen-operated field was shut down on 30 August for the operation to demobilise a drilling rig, which the company then said would require up to ten days of clear weather.
The 200,000 barrel-per-day oilfield is closely watched by oil traders worldwide as it is the biggest contributor to the Forties oil stream, the largest of the four physical crude grades that underpin the Brent BFOE benchmark.
