Mkpoikana Udoma 01 February 2017, Sweetcrude, Port Harcourt – Not less than 96 high tension poles belonging to the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHEDC, were destroyed by heavy wind, during a downpour which occurred recently in Port Harcourt.
The development, which affected associated materials, such as 150mm aluminium conductors spanning over 32,000 metres, several cross arms, among others, has thrown a cross section of Port Harcourt metropolis into darkness.
