01 November 2016, Sweetcrude, Lagos – The Senate Committee on Maritime visited leading indigenous oil and gas services company, Nigerdock, Tuesday at the Snake Island Integrated Free Zone, SIIFZ, in Lagos.

Led by Committee chairman, Senator Ahmed Rufai Sani Yerima, the committee members were led on a tour of Nigerdock facilities by Maher Jarmakani, Group Co-CEO of Jagal – the parent company of Nigerdock and operators of SIIFZ.

Yerima later commended Nigerdock for the level of facilities in place at the company and pledged the support of the Senate towards the success of the company.

“The Senate will assist to make this company move forward,” he said.

Jarmakani had earlier told the visitors that Nigerdock is West Africa’s leading indigenous company with expertise in oil and gas construction, shipyard and marine services, logistics support and industrial training.

“As leader in what we do, we take pride in exposing our activities,” Jarmakani said, urging the visitors to transmit what they have seen and observed within the company further to government.

Besides Yerima, other committee members who were at Nigerdock included Ahmed Ogembe, Binta Masi Garba, Ben Uwajumogu, Olamilekan, Adeola, Samuel Anyawu, Clifford Ordia, Isiaka Adeleke and Ovie Omo-Agege.

Others were Obinna Ogba, Abdullai Gumel, Tony Olajide, Chima Nwana, Abdulrahman Tumbido, Adeleye Olugbemi, Bukoji Adamu and Senchi Sunday.
