28 September 2013, Houston – Nigeria-focused junior Sirius Petroleum has announced that it has appointed a new chief executive and finance director.
Bobo Kuti, who joined the board as a non-executive director in August 2008, takes over as chief executive. Since joining the company Kuti has advised it on its geopolitical and business development strategy for West Africa, and Sirius said he has been instrumental in successfully establishing the company’s business network in Nigeria. Previously, he worked as an investment advisor to South African investment fund Huxton Capital.
The new finance director is Stephen Fletcher, who joined the company from Crosby Capital Partners – where he was chief operator officer.
Sirius has also appointed a new non-executive director. Ajay Kejriwal has more than 20 years’ experience in finance and commerce, and is currently a consultant to natural resources investment business Juniper Capital.
