15 November 2013, Asaba – Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has challenged members of the Nigerian Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers to develop fresh approach and ideas that can bring an end to the lingering power outage in Nigeria.
Uduaghan, who was a guest of honour at the eighth International Conference and Exhibition on Power and Telecommunications held in Warri, Delta State, urged electrical engineers not to dwell too much on problems which were already known.
He said they should rather develop practical innovations that would help the nation to end its many years of struggle with power problems.
A statement on Thursday said Uduaghan was represented by the Commissioner for Energy, Mr. Charles Emetulu.
The governor, who said Nigerian engineers were among the best in the world, prayed for celestial guidance to help the engineers come up with solutions to address the energy problems facing the nation.
