10 November 2015, News Wires – A worker has died following an accident at Cheniere’s Sabine Pass liquefied natural gas export facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, according to reports.
An operations contractor was found unresponsive at the terminal Monday morning, local station KPLC reported. The worker was transported to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.
Cheniere confirmed the death, according to KPLC.
The report marks the second death in a month at the facility, which is slated to begin exporting LNG by the beginning of next year. On 17 October, construction worker Donald Jenkins of Beaumont, Texas died after falling 35 to 40 feet from scaffolding at the terminal, according to reports.
