03 September 2013. Abuja – The Federal Government has put to rest the rivalry between the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, and the Nigeria Police over control of the nation’s critical infrastructures by declaring that the role is constitutionally designated to the Corps.
President Goodluck Jonathan, worried by the spate of vandalism of all the critical infrastructure and national assets in the country, has therefore called on the warring security agencies to bury their differences so as to put an end to what he described as a ‘threat’ to the nation development.
