16 October 2015, Lagos – The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on Thursday harvested a total of 101 offers from different oil trading firms who had put in bids to participate in the Offshore Processing Agreement (OPA) it has adopted in managing about 445,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil it gets as a domestic allocation.
Results from the public opening of the bid which was coordinated by its General Manager, Supply Chain Management, Sophia Mbakwe in Abuja disclosed that some of the bidders included Emirate National Oil Company Singapore Private Ltd; Rain Oil Ltd; Petraco Ltd, Eni Trading and Shipping; as well as Ene Gas.
Others whose bids were also harvested were Shell Western Supply and Trading Ltd; North West Petroleum and Gas Ltd; Unipec Benjing; Totsa Total Oil Trading SA; Forte Oil Plc, Slok Nigeria Ltd; Oma Trading International Ltd; and North West Petroleum and Gas Company Ltd
