01 February 2013, Sweetcrude, Lagos – Fifteen ships are waiting to discharge petroleum products at the various oil terminals within the Lagos ports, the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, has said.
This is contained in the `Shipping Position’, a daily publication of NPA.
The document showed that 10 of the 15 ships would discharge petrol; one would discharge aviation fuel; two would discharge kerosene; while two others would discharge diesel.
NPA reported that six ships were waiting to discharge bulk sugar and rice.
The document reported that 76 ships carrying different cargoes would sail into the ports between Jan. 30 and Feb. 27.
It also said that that 11 of the expected ships would arrive with petroleum products.
NPA said that the ships would sail in with rice, fish, containers of salt, bulk sugar, general cargoes, bulk wheat, bulk gypsum, bulk malt, steel products, base oil and petroleum products.
