31 March 2012, Sweetcrude, LAGOS – Activities in the Nigerian maritime sector ended in the 13th week on a busy note, with six vessels discharging petroleum products at the Apapa Port.
The shipping position, made available on Friday in Lagos by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), showed that four vessels were laden with petrol and two others are discharging bulk gas and diesel.
Overall, 21 vessels are at the port, discharging various commodities.
Besides the six that are laden with petroleum products, others came into the country with rice, bulk cement, bulk wheat, ethanol, base oil, soya bean, general cargo, fish, bulk sugar and steel, as well as empty containers.
