    95 ships to arrive Lagos ports from July 31 to August 28

    Shipping31 July 2013, Lagos – Ninety five ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos ports from July 31 to Aug. 28, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA)  said on Wednesday in Lagos.

    NPA said in its daily publication, ‘Shipping Position’ that 14 of the ships would sail in with vehicles, 19 with petroleum products and 41 others with containers.

    It said that the remaining ships would sail in with general cargoes, bulk wheat, fresh fish, bulk fertiliser, base oil, steel products, bulk sugar and bulk malt.

    According to the publication, 12 ships are waiting to berth and discharge petrol in the ports, while two others will discharge bulk fertiliser and containers.

    The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that 25 ships are currently discharging containers, bulk wheat, general cargoes, bulk fertiliser, bulk urea, steel products, bulk sugar, soda ash and petroleum products.
