10 July 2013, Lagos – Ninety-eight ships are expected in Lagos ports from July 10 to July 29, the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, said in Lagos on Wednesday.
The agency said in its daily publication, ‘Shipping Position,’ that 19 ships conveyed vehicles, 16, petroleum products and 41 would sail in with containers.
It reported that other ships would sail in with general cargoes, bulk wheat, fresh fish, bulk fertiliser, bulk gypsum, boats, bulk urea, base oil and steel products.
The agency also said that eight ships were waiting to berth and discharge petrol, while another was waiting to discharge bulk fertiliser.
The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that 23 other ships are currently discharging containers, bulk wheat, steel products, bulk fertiliser, bulk sugar, bulk wheat, fish and petroleum products.
