Nigeria’s surging crude oil production recorded a halt today after Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) said it had to shut down its Adibawa flowstation in Bayelsa state following leakages on two major pipelines.
The company disclosed that the leakage on its Okordia-Rumuekpe trunkline and the Adibawa trunkline both in Bayelsa state, caused oil spills.
The oil giant also said it had already mobilsed a team of experts to head to Yenogoa, the Bayelsa state capital, to curtail the spills.
