12 April 2012, Sweetcrude, WARRI—A group known as the Niger Delta Indigenous Movement for Radical Change (NDIMRC) has warned against delay in the take-off of the Brass Liquefied Natural Gas project in Bayelsa State.

The group also called for the sack of the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Managing Director of Brass LNG and the Group Executive Director, Gas and Power of NNPC, alleging that they were frustrating the smooth take-off of the Brass LNG.

NDIMRC, in a statement by its president, Nelly Emma, expressed worry over the delay in the take-off of the project and urged President Goodluck Jonathan to act for a speedy take off of the project.

It said, a successful kick-off of the Brass LNG project would create jobs for Nigerians and reduce growing tension in the oil-rich Niger Delta region.
