16 April 2012, Sweetcrude, Lagos – Daewoo of South Korea is to invest in building power supply infrastructure in Nigeria to help the West African nation out of its power quagmire.
Specifically, the investment would be undertaken by Daewoo Engineering and Construction Company under terms of agreement concluded recently by the Korean firm and the Nigerian government, represented by the Ministry of Power.
A Daewoo delegation was in Abuja to conclude the deal and carry out investigation on what infrastructure to build and the terms of investment.
The legal teams of the Minister of Power and Daewoo are to work out terms of the agreement before pen is put to paper to officially sign the agreement.
