03 August 2012, Sweetcrude, ABUJA – THE Nigeria Police says it is set to conclude all investigations into the $620,000 bribery scandal involving Zenon Oil and Gas Chairman, Femi Otedola, and former chairman of the House of Representatives Commitee on Fuel Subsidy Probe, Farouk Lawan in the next two weeks.

Frank Mba, deputy Force Public Relations Officer, said in Abuja that the Special Task Force investigating the matter was rounding up its probe.

According to him, the team had tried to tie up the missing links in the bribery scandal and would soon present its final report to the Inspector-General of Police and the Attorney-General of the Federation.

“The police were not under any pressure to drop the case as people have been insinuating. The STF is close to completing its investigations and in a couple of weeks, say two to three weeks, the team would conclude investigations,” Mba said.
