05 December 2012, Sweetcrude, Yenagoa—Barely 24 hours after aggrieved youths from Twon Brass in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, disrupted oil production activities at Agip terminal in Brass, hundreds of community leaders, youths and women from 21 communities in Nembe Kingdom, Wednesday, invaded and disrupted activities at the facility owned by Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC.

The protest, which was led by Chairman of Nembe Oil and Gas Committee, Chief Nengi James, and President of Nembe Youths Association, Mr. Jonathan Omongor, took place after a botched meeting between representatives of the communities and management of Shell.
