    Soldiers warned against conniving with oil thieves

    04 February 2013, Sweetcrude, Port Harcourt – Commander of the Joint Task Force, JTF, Operation Pullo Shield, Major General Barta Debiro, has vowed to deal with any soldier in the security outfit caught aiding illegal bunkering operations in the Niger Delta region.

    Major-General Debiro, weekend, when he addressed a special trained troop of the JTF for amphibious operations at a House boat on Bille water, said he would not spare any soldier caught aiding illegal bunkering.

    He also charged his men to put in their best in the anti-illegal bunkering crusade, stressing that they would continue to get all the needed support.

    The JTF boss said he was in touch with the oil companies operating in the region on security on their platforms, assuring that the JTF was set to wipe out acts of oil theft in the region.
