    Kidnapped NPA staff released, N300,000.00 paid

    24 February 2013, Sweetcrude, WARRI – Ogudire Comfort, a middle-aged female staff of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, abducted last Tuesday, has been released after parting with N300,000.00 (three hundred thousand Naira), about $1,900.

    The staff who works with the medical department of the NPA was released at about 11:pm on Thursday after the ransom had been paid to her abductors.

    Though details of the ugly incident is still very sketchy, it was learnt that her abductors outsmarted the police and succeeded in collecting the money without any problems.

    They had earlier demanded a N5million ransom, but the family negotiated till tboth parties arrived at N300,000.00
