    Egypt announces tender for six solar power stations

    solarpanels23 September 2013, Cairo – The Energy Ministerial Panel under Prime Minister Hazem el-Biblawy at a meeting on Sunday decided to announce a tender to establish six power generation stations operating with wind at the end of this month to provide governmental buildings with electricity.

    The committee also discussed using coal in running cement factories to decrease the charges and ease up the gas shortage problem.

    The ministers of electricity, industry, trade, planning, supply, petroleum, environment and scientific research attended the meeting.
