02 October 2013, Lagos – The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has condemned the level of crude oil theft in the country as it lamented that the development has left the national economy prostrate.
The Congress said in a statement by its president, Abdulwahed Omar and general-secretary, Chris Uyot, that it was disturbed that the government has has failed in its promises of arresting the development “because of the involvement of the high and the mighty.”
The statemnt was issued to mark the nation’s 53rd independence anniversary on October 1st.
