Mkpoikana Udoma i7 November 2015, Sweetcrude, Port Harcourt – As the fuel scarcity bites harder in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State chapter of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, has expressed worry over alleged determination of private depot owners in starving Rivers people of petroleum products.
A statement by the Rivers State TUC Chairman, Mr. Chika Onuegbu, accused private depot owners of shutting their depots and only selling at night at exorbitant prices.
The TUC chairman called on the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, the Rivers State government and the law enforcement agencies to compel the depot owners to open and ensure that the products available are released to petroleum marketers.
However, SweetcrudeReports learnt that Masters Energy is the only depot in Rivers State that is dispensing products at today (Monday).
