17 December 2018, Sweetcrude, Lagos — A non-executive director of MRS Oil Nigeria PLC, Dr. Samaila Musa Kewa has resigned.
This was revealed in a memo from the firm to the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE on Monday.
According to the statement signed by the company’s secretary, Mrs. O.M Jafojo, Dr. Kewa’s resignation takes effect immediately.
A non-executive director is a member of a company’s board of directors who are not part of the executive team. A non-executive director typically does not engage in the day-to-day management of the organization but is involved in policymaking and planning exercises.
The reason for Dr. Kewa’s resignation was not stated.
