Lagos — The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has issued the Federal Government a two-week ultimatum to reverse the recent increases in petrol price and electricity tariff.
The NLC threatened that failing to reverse the hike, the ultimatum will be followed by a nationwide civil unrest.
NLC president, Ayuba Wabba, said the decision on the ultimatum was part of the outcome of the Central Working Committee meeting of the group on Wednesday.
Reading a communiqué from the meeting, Wabba said the ultimatum takes immediate effect and added that NLC would mobilise its members across the country for protest after September 28.
