Lagos — As part of efforts to key into the Federal Government’s ‘The Decade of Gas Development for Nigeria’ initiative aimed at maximising Nigeria’s gas potentials, Quest Oil Group is taking steps to curb the environmental impact of dirty fuel.
The company’s initiative is primarily driven by regulatory and shareholder obligations otherwise known as ESG.
The Federal Government gas Initiative has not only highlighted Nigeria’s quest for sustainable energy but has also given it a place in the global transitioning to cleaner and more efficient energy.
As a result, Quest Oil Group is positioning to become the leading clean energy provider in sub-Sahara Africa tapping from its huge growing asset base and decades of experience in the Gas and Power sector.
In addition to providing clean energy, Quest Oil Group is making a conscious effort to bridge the gender gap in workplaces, maintain diversity and ensure the overall wellbeing of the employees.
It has led to the adoption of stricter safety standards in its oil and gas operations to create a safer workplace environment.

He explained that this alliance has led to the ongoing overhauling, restructuring, and rebranding of Ascon to Quest, an action that falls under the initial goal of integrating all of its offerings under the Quest umbrella.
“This rebranding effort has contributed to boosting our customers, stakeholders, and investors’ confidence in the new Quest Retail brand amongst others, as well as position it as a thought leader in the energy sector.
“As the pandemic continues to accelerate the global push to sustainability and greener economies, Quest Oil Group is increasingly involved in ESG initiatives to show environment-and-social-conscious investors that they could be a part of the solution, not the problem, to the climate issues.
“As part of our goals to provide affordable, clean, reliable, and sustainable energy to all in line with the United Nations SDG 7, we recently commissioned our retail service station, Iju Road, Lagos,” Dele said.
The Director-General /CEO of Lagos State Safety Commission, Mr. Lanre Mojola who was a special guest at the event said: “Service stations like the Quest retail service station will play a critical role in the nation’s economy by providing energy and lubricating oils for vehicular transportation”.
Mr. Goke Dele noted that the station aims to avail Nigerians the opportunity to access quality fuel products at the right quantity and the right price.
Quest Oil Group comprises Quest Oil and Engineering Services Limited, Quest E & P Limited, and Quest EPCI Limited, Quest Energy, and Oil Fields Services Limited. In the upstream segment, Quest E & P is focused on developing and operating a portfolio of upstream oil and gas assets.
Its activities also include exploiting identified leads, appraising existing discoveries within the license to increase reserves and increase the production profile, deployment of advanced technologies especially in data reprocessing, interpretation, and drilling. In the EPCI sector, Quest is competitively engaged in general Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation operations across the energy industry.
By providing affordable, clean, and efficient power for facilities, Quest Gas and Power is prioritizing cost optimization in the power sector, and providing gas infrastructural development through the deployment of natural gas and power generation infrastructure including gas pipelines, LPG, and CNG.
To strengthen competency level across EPCI project operations in the country, and effectively close the skills gap, Quest Oil Group has set up the Quest Engineering and Technology Institute, offering a portfolio of courses covering Engineering Design, Onshore & Offshore operations, and Decommissioning for oil and gas assets.
