    SPIE Global Services Energy appoints Jeronimo Oliveira as director

    Cergy – SPIE Global Services Energy, an international subsidiary of SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, has announced the appointment of Jeronimo Oliveira to the position of Director of the Sub-Saharan Africa Business Unit.

    Description générée automatiquementJeronimo Oliveira, 53, has spent most of his career on the African continent. Having gained a wealth of experience in companies specialising in the ports and logistics sector, he moved into the oil and gas sector in 2014, first as Director of the Oil & Gas division of the Necotrans group, and then as Managing Director of X-Oil Congo (LYNX Energy group).

    Jeronimo Oliveira joined SPIE Global Services Energy (formerly SPIE Oil & Gas Services[1]) in 2020 as Country Director for the Nigeria – Ghana zone and then for the Angola – Mozambique zone.

    Having been appointed as Director of the Sub-Saharan Africa Business Unit on 19 February 2024, he is now closely supporting the needs of SPIE’s customers and partners across the zone’s seven countries (Angola, Mozambique, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Gabon and the Republic of the Congo) thanks to the 1,500 SPIE Global Services Energy employees active in this region of the world.

    Jeronimo Oliveira says “As the new Director of the Sub-Saharan Africa Business Unit, I intend to mobilise SPIE’s teams to meet the needs of the oil and gas sector and the developing renewable energy sector. We need to be innovative and flexible and to demonstrate our ability to meet market expectations with a high level of expertise. To this end, we are firmly committed to raising awareness and providing ongoing training”.
