Port Harcourt — The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, says he has set his sight on increasing Nigeria’s crude oil production, with a focus on security and new investments.
To this end, Lokpobiri said he has been engaging with stakeholders and investors to ensure the security of oil installations and increase production output.
The minister, in a statement, said he has been actively promoting the Nigerian oil sector to investors, showcasing the vast opportunities available, geared towards surpassing the  current production output.
He affirmed his commitment to achieving production goals and sustaining growth in the industry, in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Over the past week, my engagements have focused on cementing measures to ramp up our crude production. A primary area of concentration has been the security of our oil installations, ensuring they are safeguarded against potential threats.
“I have also been actively engaging with stakeholders, fostering stronger relationships to support our objectives. In addition, we are making strides in wooing investors to our oil sector, showcasing the vast opportunities available.
“These concerted efforts are essential as we remain on course to surpass our current production output. The progress made this week solidifies our commitment to achieving our production goals and sustaining growth in the industry,” the minister stated.
