Lagos — The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, has recently received a delegation from the Energy Commission of Nigeria, ECN, led by its Director General, Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, for a courtesy visit to the Commission.

Speaking during the visit, the DG ECN emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration among institutions within the energy sector to achieve Nigeria’s broader energy access and development objectives.

He noted that strengthened partnerships between ECN and NERC would help foster policy alignment, knowledge sharing, and the successful implementation of initiatives that support national development goals.

The discussions also explored areas of mutual interest and opportunities for deeper engagement between both organizations in addressing emerging challenges and opportunities within Nigeria’s evolving energy landscape.

The Commission welcomed the visit and commended the Energy Commission of Nigeria for its continued efforts in promoting energy development and innovation. NERC reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with ECN and other stakeholders to support initiatives that enhance energy access, improve sector performance, and contribute to the sustainable growth of Nigeria’s energy sector.
