17 September 2015, News Wires – Sinopec offshoot Addax Petroleum is chopping one quarter of its staff at its Geneva office as a result in the prolonged poor oil price environment.
The Switzerland-based player told staff at the Geneva office on Wednesday that up to 70 positions are to go.
Addax has acreage positions in Iraqi Kurdistan, Nigeria, Gabon, Cameroon and the UK North Sea.
In Kurdistan it is joined by Genel Energy in a joint venture that operates the producing Taq Taq field.
