9 December 2011, Sweetcrude, LUANDA — Angola, which is already Africa’s second largest oil exporter behind Nigeria, will also become a gas exporter in the first quarter of 2012 when exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) commences from its Angola LNG project based in Soyo, northern Zaire Province.

National Director of Marketing at the Angolan Oil Ministry, Albino Ferreira, revealed this in Luanda at the opening of a seminar on “Assessment of Oil and Gas,” saying the inclusion of the LNG in the range of the country’s export products had compelled the need for increased knowledge of the market.

The seminar has the contribution of lecturers with international experience in oil markets, representatives of the Ministries of Finance, Economy, Planning and oil companies operating in the country, Angola Press Agency reports.
