    At last senate receives report on 2016 Appropriation Bill

    22 March 2016, Abuja – The Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, Senator Danjuma Goje, on Tuesday presented the report of the 2016 budget on the floor of the upper chamber, after weeks of bulk passing between the executive and the legislature over errors discovered in the document.

    The Chairmanship, Senate Committee on Education ( Basic), Senator Aliyu Wamako, confirmed to our correspondent that the budget would be considered and passed  tomorrow (Wednesday).

    He said the senate may possibly hold two sessions tomorrow  to enable it to pass the fiscal document.

    Our correspondent learnt that the senate will proceed Easter Break tomorrow because of the trial of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, that will resume at the Code of Conduct Tribunal on Thursday.
