Mkpoikana Udoma 07 August 2017, Sweetcrude, Port Harcourt – Indigenous oil firm, Belemaoil Producing Limited has said that the company is expecting to hit a total crude oil production of 30,000barrels per day by the end of 2017.

Managing Director of Belemaoil Producing Limited, Mr. Boma Brown, while briefing newsmen at the dedication of its head-office in Port Harcourt, said presently the company was producing between 12,000 and 13,000 barrels per day.
Brown explained the company acquired OML 55 in 2013 and got the license to operate in June 2016 and within one year of operation it has increased production by 100percent.
He said the company wants to acquire more Oil Prospecting Licenses and Oil Mining Licenses, and  be the partner of choice to other nations, Nigeria and as well as other indigenous operators.
He said the dream of the founder of the company, Mr. Jackrich Tein, was to be the number one indigenous company with the highest production rate.
“We have 12,000 to 13,000bdp and we already have programs to take it to 30,000bpd within the nearest short term; Belemaoil is not just producing we are going to bring best practices to ensure that indigenous oil and gas industry have the capability and the people to unlock through the value chain of the business.
“We have already set up an exploration and acquisition department in Belemaoil, we are really aggressively pursing other licenses into our portfolio.
“We know that with God on our side, we have greater things achieve. This is just the beginning, the shores of Nigeria and outside Nigeria will hear Belemaoil, not just as an indigenous company but will partner with Belemaoil to unlock resources for countries, and that’s our dream.”
The Belemaoil boss said with global best practices, the company has changed the paradigm in community management, and was positioned for genuine development, gainful employment, and a protected environment for its host communities.
He said the company was committed to meeting the aspirations of all the stakeholders and exploring to replace produced volumes to ensure the country have more resources and at the same time energy security.
“Presently we have a three-prong approach to unlocking the resources in OML55 for the country, namely; wells and reservoir management using global best practices, secondly, to unlock and monetize gas resources for the country and thirdly to do a long-term regional exploration.
“We are ready to partner with other countries, Nigerian government to unlock these resources. We are also going to be the partner of choice for even indigenous operators, where we would be called upon because we have the expertise.
“We want to give a different narrative about the Niger Delta and her people; we want to make a change in the region, as indigenous people, we want to partner with everyone, and ensure that Nigeria benefit genuinely her resources with the right environmental standards,” Brown said.
