22 July 2014, News Wires – Helicopter operator Bristow has secured a three-year deal to provide air transport services for Lundin Petroleum and Det Norske Oljeselskap off Norway.
Bristow intends to deploy a Sikorsky S-92 aircraft, with capacity for 19 passengers, to transport workers to the operators’ respective Edvard Grieg and Ivar Aasen fields, which are being developed in tandem, under the contract with an unspecified value.
The global group’s local subsidiary Bristow Norway provide helicopter services from its base at Sola near Stavanger on Norway’s west coast, with operations due to start in the first quarter of next year.
The contract carries an extension option for up to three years and also provides for additional helicopter support for the two oil companies, Bristow said in a statement.
