17 June 2014, News Wires – French player CGG has won a contract for an extensive land seismic programme with Saudi Arabian major Saudi Aramco.
The company’s local outfit won a major contract for a high-density seismic programme, with its local joint venture partner Taqa.
Sercel, CGG’s equipment division will supply all the seismic equipment for the programme.
The three-year contract has two optional extension periods of one year each, with work expected to start by the end of the year.
CGG did not disclose the value of the contract.
